The Malta Development Bank uses information to perform its functions, tasks and activities, which may also involve exchanging of such information with external entities, both locally and internationally.
The Bank acknowledges the importance of this information and categorises it according to five classification levels, which can be seen displayed in documents and emails from the Bank.
This formal classification ensures that information is treated consistently and safeguards the integrity of sensitive information being handled by Bank employees, thus protecting it from unauthorised access or disclosure.
MDB counterparts are equally encouraged to protect the information received from the Bank and to apply basic security principles when handling MDB information in line with Information Security best practices.
